If You Only Listen To Me Once This Year...

...I hope you'll check out The Makeshift Miracle, in the currect Diamond catalog. I just got a chance to read this thing and HOLY SHIT, IT'S GREAT!

    Ok, I have ordered my copy purely on your recommendation and the pretty pictures I saw on the site. It is an odd couple of steps that led me to buying this particular book. It started by my reading of a couple of negative Gen 13 reviews. I had heard so much praise for your work in the past and was excited by the World Storm relaunch (I'm new to comics and wanted to jump on something at the start) that these reviews bugged me. I am under the illusion that writers are trying to write the best books possible so I thought I'd try and find your comments on the direction Gen 13 will be going, thus justifying my decision to buy it. Then I read your blog, agreed whole heartedly with your opinion in "WHY AREN'T YOU BUYING THIS BOOK?", and thus chose to take your advise in buying the book. In doing that I wanted to get of my chest how cool The Makeshift Miracle looks but I couldn't post a comment without becoming a blogger...and here we are.

    I have since read Gen 13 for myself and I didn't mind it. I get the feeling that my complete lack of exposure to the universe helped me enjoy the issue without all the baggage some people may have. I'll ride it out for a while longer, and I look forward to sampling your work via this book and seeing if your once a year recommendations are any good.

    Now I have to write in my newly created blog that no-one will ever read. I feel part of the young people. Heck I may even open a myspace...or not.
